When you create a MindDot account, we collect information necessary to create and maintain your account, such as your name, email address, and authentication information.Account information is stored using Firebase. Certain account information may also be available through MindDot's administrative system for account administration and support.User Responses and Saved Content
MindDot allows you to write and save responses to thinking prompts. Saved responses are stored in a database under your account. Database access rules restrict saved responses to the account that owns them. Other MindDot users cannot access your saved responses, and saved response content is not accessible through MindDot's administrative panel. Saved responses are encrypted at rest and in transit.We do not sell your responses, use them for advertising, or share them for marketing purposes. We do not perform analytics on the content of your responses.AI-Powered Reviews
MindDot offers an optional AI-powered feature that evaluates responses submitted by users and provides feedback regarding aspects of their thinking and articulation. When you choose to request an AI review, the relevant thinking prompt and your response are transmitted to OpenAI for processing in order to generate the requested evaluation. Your prompt and response are not sent to OpenAI merely because you write or save a response. They are transmitted to OpenAI only when you choose to request an AI review.Information processed by OpenAI is subject to OpenAI's applicable terms, privacy practices, and data-retention practices.Voice Dictation
If you use MindDot's voice-dictation feature, your device uses speech-recognition services provided by Apple or Google, depending on your device and operating system.Audio used for dictation may leave your device and be transmitted to Apple or Google for transcription. MindDot receives the resulting text but does not receive or store the audio recording itself.Processing performed by Apple or Google is subject to the applicable provider's privacy practices.App, Device, and Usage Information
MindDot uses AppsFlyer for limited attribution and app-event measurement. AppsFlyer may receive an advertising identifier and limited milestone events, such as account registration or the beginning of a checkout process.MindDot does not send your response text, prompt text, or email address to AppsFlyer. On iOS, access to the advertising identifier is subject to Apple's system tracking permission where applicable.MindDot does not collect your location, contacts, or photos.How We Use InformationWe use information collected through MindDot to:
- Create, authenticate, and maintain user accounts;
- Save and retrieve user responses;
- Provide AI-powered reviews and ratings when requested;
- Provide voice-dictation functionality when requested;
- Process and manage subscriptions and purchases;
- Measure limited app milestones and attribution;
- Operate, maintain, secure, and troubleshoot MindDot;
- Provide account administration and support; and
- Comply with applicable legal obligations.Third-Party Services
MindDot relies on third-party providers to operate certain features of the app. Depending on how you use MindDot, these providers may include:
- Firebase (Google) — account authentication, database storage, and app infrastructure.
- OpenAI — processing the relevant prompt and response when you choose to request an AI-powered review.
- AppsFlyer — limited attribution and app-event measurement.
- RevenueCat — subscription and purchase management.
- Apple and Google — app distribution, purchases and subscriptions, and speech recognition or dictation depending on your device.These third parties may process information as necessary to provide their respective services and in accordance with their own applicable terms and privacy practices.Subscriptions and Payments
Purchases and subscriptions made through MindDot are processed through the applicable app marketplace, such as the Apple App Store or Google Play, with RevenueCat used to support subscription and purchase management.MindDot does not directly collect or store complete payment-card information for purchases processed through those platforms.Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information associated with MindDot accounts from unauthorized access, use, alteration, or disclosure.Saved responses are protected by database access rules that restrict access to the account that owns them and are encrypted at rest and in transit. Other users cannot read your saved responses, and saved response content is not accessible through MindDot's administrative panel.No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.Data Retention and Deletion
We retain account information and saved responses as necessary to provide MindDot's services while your account remains active.You may delete saved responses through the app. If you delete your MindDot account, MindDot deletes your profile and all saved responses associated with the account before deleting the login. MindDot does not retain that account data after the deletion process is completed.Information transmitted to or processed by third-party providers may be subject to those providers' applicable retention and deletion practices.Advertising and Sale of Personal Information
MindDot does not display third-party advertising within the app.We do not sell your personal information, prompts, or responses. We do not share the content of your prompts or responses for advertising or marketing purposes.Children's Privacy
MindDot is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that personal information from a child under 13 has been collected, we will take appropriate steps to delete it.Changes to This Privacy Policy
